A Georgia tourism commission has filed an emergency petition with the state’s General Assembly to remove all tourism attractions from the state.
Georgia Tourism Commission Chairman Michael J. Biederman said the Georgia Legislature has already made clear that the state will not allow the tourist attractions to return, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
He said Georgia will work to ensure the safety of visitors to the state as a result of the petition.
Blederman said Georgia would not return the tourist sites until it receives assurances that they will not pose a threat to people.
Georgia tourism officials have not released any information about the petition and are still reviewing it.
